Supporting our Local Youth

Honeywell Science

Last week the members and guests were treated to a wonderful talk by 2 inspiring young locals - Bishal Pachhai and Alyssa Cooke.
Bishal attended the Honeywell Engineering Summer School at University of NSW last December. A student at St Peters Broulee, Bishal has only been in Australia for 2 years having moved here from Nepal and for a young man whose 2nd language is English, he did a great job in articulating his time at Honeywell.
Alyssa attended the National Youth Science Forum in Canberra in January which she found amazing. She has been chosen as one of six NYSF students to attend a science fair in Montreal next month helping to staff the Australian science booth.
Alyssa who is a student at Moruya High and a member of the school's Rotary Interact Club will be travelling to Seoul in June to attend the Rotary Convention thanks to D9710 Interact.
It is such an honour for our club long with our 2 adjoining club - Narooma & Batemans Bay to be have helped these 2 fine young individuals - now that is Rotary in Action
